The category of Vocal Music applies to music for the voice in the genre of classical art music. Following in the tradition of post-modern classical composers, Kent Gustavson takes tradition and twists it into something new and beautiful in his vocal music.
Kent Gustavson is an active classical art composer. He writes several commissions per year, and is nearing completion of his PhD in classical composition at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is open for commissions.
This music is virtuosic in character, with piano or chamber ensemble accompaniment.
